GENERAL
You must hold a valid UK provisional driving licence which you must present to your instructor on your first lesson.
You must meet the minimum eyesight requirements which means you must be able to read a standard UK number plate at a minimum distance of 20 metres. If you need to wear glasses or contact lenses to meet this requirement then you must wear them whenever you drive.
You must not be under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs. If your instructor determines that you are under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs the lesson will be terminated and you will be liable for the cost of the lesson.
If you are on any prescribed medication that may affect your driving then you must inform your instructor so they can determine if the lesson can proceed.
Your instructor will carry out the DVSA code of conduct at all times, and provide you with a fully insured, dual controlled car for the purpose of driving tuition. The instructor will not discuss the progress of the pupil on lessons with any other party without the prior consent of the pupil.
LESSON CANCELLATION
If you require to cancel a lesson then at least 24 hours notice must be given by phone or text to your instructor. If you cancel within 24 hours notice then your instructor maintains the right to charge you the full cost of the lesson.
Your instructor shall wait no longer than 15 minutes at the agreed destination of pick up point of lesson. If you do not appear for the lesson within this time then the lesson will be cancelled and you will be liable for the cost of the lesson.
Your instructor will endeavour to arrive on time, however, due to unforeseen circumstances such as breakdowns, accidents, traffic hold ups, bad weather etc, then lesson times may need to be changed or lessons cancelled. Your instructor will endeavour to inform you if there is likely to be a delay of 10 minutes or more to the start of a lesson. Any time lost will be made up on that lesson, or if this is not possible, at a later time. If a lesson has to be cancelled by your instructor, then no fee will be charged to you the pupil.
PAYMENTS
Payment for lesson(s) must be made at the start of, or prior to, your lesson by cash or bank transfer.
Reduced price lesson blocks must be paid for in advance of, or at the start of, the first lesson of the block, otherwise lesson prices will revert back to individual lesson rate.
Where the insructor's car is used on test it will be charged for at advertised rate.
For intensive courses a non-refundable deposit will be charged in advance of the lessons.
